Orth an der Donau is a town with 2033 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Gaenserndorf district in the Austrian state of Lower Austria.

Geography
Orth an der Donau is located in the March field in Lower Austria in the center of the National Park Donau-Auen. The area of the municipality covers 33.41 square kilometers. 31.02 percent of the area is forested. Are there any other places except Orth on the Danube in the field of single cadastral.
History
Population Development
According to the results of the 2001 census, there were 1966 inhabitants. In 1991, the market town of 1773 inhabitants, 1981, 1624 and in 1971: 1522 inhabitants.

Rail connection
Orth an der Donau was the southwestern terminus of the local railway Untersiebenbrunn - Engelhartstetten on which the passenger was set in 2003. Since then, Orth / Danube can be reached only by bus.
