Osternienburger Land

Osternienburger country is a united community in the district of Anhalt- Bitterfeld (Saxony -Anhalt).

Geography

The community Osternienburger country includes the area between the four cities Aken (Elbe ), Dessau, Köthen (Anhalt) and Bernburg (Saale ).

History

The unit community was established on 1 January 2010, a field modification agreement the following municipalities who once belonged to the administrative community Osternienburg:

  • Libbesdorf with the district Rosenfeld
  • Micheln with the districts Klietzen and Trebbichau
  • Osternienburg with the districts Pißdorf and Sibbesdorf
  • Reppichau
  • Trinum
  • Wulfen
  • Zabitz with the districts Maxdorf and Thurau

Policy

The local council of Osternienburger country consists of 20 members. After the local elections on 27 September 2009, the following distribution of seats was:

CDU and FDP have formed a faction with 12 seats.

Additional member is the mayor of the municipality, Stefan Hemmerling ( CDU).

The seat of government is located in the district Osternienburg.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was approved on June 28, 2013 by the county.

Blazon: " Divided by silver and green; forward a schwarzgefugten red Zinnmauer floating Lowered a red sword, which covers two crossed red and silver pen quiver from which green peacock feathers sticking with red-gold black peacock; behind a silver linden branch with fourteen leaves. "

The colors of the community are green - white.

Flag

The flag is green - white - green striped ( cross- shape: strips 1:4:1 horizontally extending, longitudinal shape: 1:3:1 strip running vertically ) and centrally occupied with the municipal coat of arms.
