Otisstraße (Berlin U-Bahn)

The subway station is a railway station Otisstraße U6 of the Berlin U- Bahn. He is the second of three above-ground stations of the U6 and is located in the district of Reinickendorf Berlin district Reinickendorf. The metro station was opened on 31 May 1958 as Seidelstraße ( Tegel Airport ), 1961 the nickname was changed to Tegel airport, completely omitted from November 1974 and renamed the station on January 6, 2003 in Otisstraße. In the running here Otisstaße is a work of Otis Elevator Company, which manufactures elevators for the Berlin metro stations. The station has in station list of the acronym BVG Oti. It is 698 meters from the Holzhauserstraße and 824 meters underground stops from Scharnweberstraße Metro Station.

The station has a fully roofed central platform, which has an access on the northern end of the platform on a location below the glass body access hall, and is approximately 6.8 meters above street level. The design of the station is convenient.

Since 29 October 2010, the station has an elevator system for barrier-free access; the costs amounted to 800,000 euros.

At the subway station, there is no direct transit traffic to other lines of the Berlin transport.
