Paclín Department

The department PACLIN located in the center of the province of Catamarca in northwestern Argentina and is one of the 16 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered to the north by the province of Tucumán, on the east by the departments of El Alto and Santa Rosa, on the south by the department of Valle Viejo and to the west by the departments Fray Mamerto Esquiú and Ambato.

The capital of the department is La Merced. It is located about 60 kilometers from the provincial capital San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca away.
