Paolo Zanetti ( born December 16, 1982 in Valdagno ) is an Italian footballer who is since 2011 in U.S. Grosseto under contract.

Career

Paolo Zanetti started his professional career at Vicenza Calcio. He made his debut on 21 January 2001 at home against Brescia Calcio in the top division. According to the 2000 /01 season he joined the club as a Third to last in the B series from time spent with the team the next two years in the second highest league. In the season 2002/ 03 he was able to win a regular place in the team. His first professional matches, he scored 31 August 2002, the opening day of that season, in the home game against Genoa. This was at that game at the same time the winning goal for the Lane Rossi. At season's end he was missed promotion to Serie A, however, and the first division side FC Empoli signed him. After one season, ran aground in the Zanetti in 13 league games, the descent was followed in the second division.

First prize of the 2004/05 season managed an immediate return to the series A. After he lost his place at Empoli and was sold in the summer of 2006 to Ascoli Calcio. There again the jump he succeeded in the starting eleven, on matchday 33 of the 2006/07 season he scored his first goal in the top division. He met in away game against Catania Calcio Ascoli Calcio for the 1:3, the game ended in a 3-3 draw. Finally, he rose with the club again in the B series and from then signed with FC Turin.

He was among the people of Turin regular inserts in league play, but he was unable to secure a regular place in the longer term. After the 2008/ 09 season he also rose to the Torino from the B series. In January 2010, he gave this loan off at Atalanta. At season's end the midfielder returned to FC Turin. In summer 2011, he moved to league rivals U.S. Grosseto.

Zanetti graduated in the Italian Junior selections from 2000 to 2003 a total of 22 caps and scored two goals.
