Pelechuco Municipality

The municipality Pelechuco is a district in the department of La Paz in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location in near space

The municipality Pelechuco is one of two Municipalities of the Province Franz Tamayo and located in the western part of the province. It is bordered to the west by the Republic of Peru, to the east by the province of Bautista Saavedra, and to the north by the municipality of Apolo.

The municipality has 72 localities ( Localidades ), the central location of the municipality is Pelechuco with 936 inhabitants in the central part of the county. (2001)

Geography

The municipality Pelechuco located in the northern part of the Bolivian Cordillera Central. The mean average temperature of the region is located at 5 ° C, the annual precipitation is about 750 mm (see climate chart ). The region has a pronounced diurnal climate, the monthly average temperatures vary only slightly between 2 ° C in June / July and 6 ° C in October to December. The monthly rainfall range from less than 10 mm during the months of June and July, and more than 100 mm from December to March.
