Péter Halász (conductor)

Péter Halász ( born July 23, 1976 in Budapest) is a Hungarian conductor.

Life and work

Péter Halász first studied piano and composition with István Fekete Gyor at the Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest. In 1995 he went to Vienna, where he studied conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts with Leopold Hager. He has deepened in master classes with Ervin Acél, Zoltán Peskó and Bernard Haitink His musical knowledge. He has also collected as an assistant to Ádám Fischer at the Haydn Festival in Eisenstadt Important experiences.

After his studies, in the 2002/03 season, Péter Halász worked as accompanist at the Opera Studio of the Zurich Opera House.
