Petra Zakouřilová

Petra Zakouřilová ( born September 5, 1978 in Liberec ) is a Czech former alpine skier. She specializes in the technical disciplines slalom and giant slalom, reached two top -20 finishes in the World Cup and five top -20 finishes at World Championships and Olympic Games and six times Czech champion.

Career

Zakouřilová took from 1994 to 1998 at five junior world championships. As the best result it reached it 16th place in the giant slalom in Schladming 1997. In December 1995, she began taking part in competitions in the European Cup and the Nor- Am Cup. While Nor -Am Cup giant slalom at Winter Park finished in 13th place in, she remained in the European Cup for the time being without result. Your first points in Eurapacup she won on 28 January 1997 with number 23 in the giant slalom in Rogla. As early as 1996 they had won the Super-G its first Czech Championship. In February 2001 Zakouřilová took in St. Anton am Arlberg first part in a World Cup. She reached in the slalom as the best Czech the 17th Place and in the Giant Slalom 30th place. In February 2002, she competed at the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. In the giant slalom she was ranked 27 and in combination, it achieved a tenth place in the slalom and rank 23 in the downhill 16th place. Their only World Cup result in the 2002/03 season was the 21st place in the slalom at Åre.

28 December 2003 Zakouřilová succeeded with 14th place in the slalom in Lienz best World Cup result of her career. They also reached in the 2003/04 season ranked 24th in the slalom at Park City and ranked 25th in the second slalom in Levi. The next winter they only came in the first slalom of the season in Aspen, where she finished 18th in the points. At the 2005 World Championships in Bormio she went to 20th place in the slalom and 37th in giant slalom. In the season 2005/ 06 Zakouřilová came in any of their ten World Cup races in the championship. At the Olympic Winter Games 2006 in Turin, she was 24th in the combination and 27th in the giant slalom. In March, she won the slalom and the giant slalom at the Czech Championships 2006. In the season 2006/ 07 Zakouřilová came with rank 27 in the slalom in Zwiesel once in the World Cup points and ranks at the World Championships in Åre she drove to 28th place in the slalom as well as rank 40 in the giant slalom. She was also with her teammates ninth in the team competition. The next winter Zakouřilová remained in the World Cup again with no points, but it was the second time Czech champion in giant slalom. Even in the seasons 2008/ 09 and 2009/10 they came in any World Cup race in the standings, just in the European Cup they could score three times in these two years. After they had not participated in the 2009 World Championships, she launched at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, but fell in both the slalom and giant slalom in the first round of. After the Olympics, she only took on the Czech Slalom Championships, where she failed likewise, and ended their career after that.
