Petros Molyviatis

Petros Molyviatis (Greek Πέτρος Μολυβιάτης, born June 12, 1928 on Chios) is a Greek politician.

Life

He graduated in law from the University of Athens and then worked as a diplomat at the Permanent Representations of Greece to the UN and NATO, as well as to the Embassies in Moscow, Ankara and Pretoria.

From 1974 to 1980 he worked as an office manager at the Greek Prime Minister Konstantinos Karamanlis.

1980-1985 and 1990-1995, he was chief of the Presidential Office in President Konstantinos Karamanlis.

From 1996 to 2004, he was a deputy of the New Democracy party at the Greek Parliament and was a member of the parliamentary committee on defense and foreign affairs.

From 10 March 2004 to 14 February 2006 has been Foreign Minister Petros Molyviatis in the Cabinet Kostas Karamanlis. From 17 May to 21 June 2012, he held this office again as a member of the transitional government Pikrammenos.
