Pfäffikon lies in the Zurich Oberland on the northern and eastern shores of the eponymous Pfäffikersee. Not to be confused with Pfäffikon on Lake Zurich. The neighboring communities are the communities of Pfäffikon Wetzikon, Bäretswil, Hittnau, Rumlikon, Fehraltorf, Bauma, Wildenberg, Seegräben and Uster.
