Pocona

Pocona is a town in the Cochabamba Department in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Pocona is the central place of the district ( bolivian: Municipio) Pocona in the province of Carrasco. The village lies at an altitude of 2721 m on the right bank of the Río Pocona Mayu, which drains in a southeasterly direction to the Río Mizque out.

Geography

Pocona is located in one of the high valleys of the mountain range of the Cordillera Oriental, which merges into the Bolivian lowlands to the east.
