Podhájska

Podhájska is a municipality in Nové Zámky Okres within the Nitriansky kraj in Slovakia.

It was created on 1 July 1960 merger of the previously independent municipalities Belek (Hungarian Kisbelleg ) and Svätuša ( until 1948 slow Senca; . Hungarian Szencsa ), the name means something like " When riparian forest ". The place is located in the Danube hills ( Podunajská pahorkatina ) by the stream Liska and lies on the regional road 580 between Šurany, 15 km to the west and Kalná nad Hronom, 21 km to the northeast.

The two districts were mentioned for the first time in 1075 ( Belek ), or 1156 ( Svätuša ) in writing.

Today the church is known for its thermal baths. 1973 discovered a hot spring whose water has a temperature of about 80 ° C and is similar in its content to the Dead Sea. The bathroom is for people with respiratory diseases, rheumatic diseases, circulation and joint diseases suitable.
