Presseck lies on a plateau between the valleys of Steinach and the savages Unterrodach at the foot of the 690 m high pressing Ecker Knocks in the Franconian Forest nature park.

History

The press Ecker district Schlopp was first mentioned in the year 1024. The first mention Pressecks took place in 1362 in a right of way agreement between the Prince-Bishop of Bamberg Lupold and the knight Hans von forest rock.
