Priepasné

Priepasné (Hungarian Hosszúhegy ) is a municipality in western Slovakia.

Location and General Description

The municipality was established in 1957 spun off from the congregation Košariská - Priepasné, which was created in 1927 from the places Priepasné and Košariská. However Priepasné existed previously for about 400 years as a settlement and was until 1927 part of Brezová pod Bradlom.

The municipality is located in the hill country between the Little Carpathians in the south and the White Carpathians in the north. Myjava is located approximately 10 kilometers north of the community, Brezová pod Bradlom about 5 kilometers south-west, Senica about 15 kilometers to the west.
