Prosenice

Prosenice ( German Prossenitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located about four kilometers northeast of Přerov and belongs to Okres Přerov. The municipality was created in 1948 through the merger of Velké Prosenice and Malé Prosenice.

Geography

Prosenice is 300 meters on the right side of the Bečva in the Moravian Gate. The village stretches right of the stream Prosenický creek to its confluence with the Strhanec. Southwest of the village fed the Strhanec the pond Draždíř. On the northern outskirts of the village the main road I/47 between Přerov and Lipník runs. Just two kilometers north of the village is the railway line Přerov - Hranice.

Neighboring towns are Radvanice in the north, and Hliníky Osek nad Bečvou in the northeast, and Oldřichov Sušice in the east, and Radslavice Grymov the southeast, Kozlovice in the south, Lýsky in the southwest, and Vinary Čekyně in the west and Sobíšky and Buk in the northwest.

History

Archaeological finds evidence of a settlement of the municipality since the Bronze Age. The present village was probably founded in the 11th or 12th century. The first mention of the place Prosinic took place on November 3, 1275, in a written by Zášit of Kurovice on behalf Otakar II Přemysls certificate border between the goods of the monastery Hradisko and the city of Olomouc. As of 1349 the village as Prosyenicz was, from 1358 as Prossenicz and 1368 called Prosynicz. Owner of the goods were up to the second half of the 14th century, the Vladiken of Prossenicz. In 1374, Ulrich and Peter sold by Prossenicz the village Prozenicz including the associated mill and forests to Nicholas and Hynko of Naklo. After the abolition of patrimonial formed Velké Prosenice / Great Prossenitz and Malé Prosenice / Prossenitz small independent communities in the District Commission Moravian white churches. In 1855 both communities were the district Leipnik and 1868 re- assigned to the Moravia white churches. In the years 1857-1858 a new school building was built. Not until 1891 that a breakpoint on the Emperor Ferdinand Northern Railway was established on the land of Malé Prosenice, which was expanded in 1897 to the station. To the train station, which resulted in a siding, founded in 1881 sugar mill Malé Prosenice, the station settlement arose. 1890 a post office and a telegraph office was established in 1895 in Velké Prosenice. 1899, formed a Farmers' dairy cooperative. Malé Prosenice at that time had 590 and Velké Prosenice 443 inhabitants. The district Velké Prosenice received while the new name Prosenice and Malé Prosenice became Proseničky. Since 1949 Prosenice belongs to Okres Přerov. In the 1950s, at the southeast end of the village was a large Kuhstallkomplex. The municipality had nearly 1,200 residents in the mid-1960s. Then began a decline in population, which is due to the beginning of the industrial housing in the district town Přerov. 1970 lived 1041 people in Prosenice. In 1976, the municipalities Buk, Radvanice, Sobíšky and Zábeštní Lhota to the Local National Committee ( MNV ) Prosenice were connected. Proseničky 1983 lost the status of a local part. Radvanice, Sobíšky and Zábeštní Lhota in 1984 incorporated entirely by Prosenice. Radvanice, Sobíšky and Zábeštní Lhota dissolved again in 1990 going on and formed their own communities. Since 1995 Prosenice leads a coat of arms and banners. In 1997 the village was affected by a flood of Bečva. In the census of 2001, there were 837 people in Prosenice.
