Province of Venice

The Province of Venice ( Provincia di Venezia Italian ) is one of the seven provinces of the Italian region of Veneto. It has an area of ​​2462 km ² and 847 983 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012). Capital is Venice.

Geography

The Province of Venice is located in the Po Valley and stretches along the coast of the Adriatic Sea from west to south. The province is traversed by many rivers, such as the Piave and the Sile. Are the seaside resorts of Jesolo, Bibione and Caorle on the coast of the province.

In the east it borders the province of Udine, in the north of the province of Treviso and Pordenone Province, to the west by the province of Padua, as in the south of the province of Rovigo.
