Račice nad Trotinou

Račice nad Trotinou ( German Ratschitz at the Trotina ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eleven kilometers north of the center of Hradec Králové and belongs to Okres Hradec Králové.

Geography

Račice is located in the southeastern foothills of the Horschitzer sandstone ridge on the Velichovská tabule ( Welchower panel) in Bohemia. The village is located on the right bank of the Trotina below the confluence of the Hustířanka. To the east rises the 311 m high hill Horička.

Neighboring towns are Frantov and Lužany in the north, Habřina in the northeast, and Černožice Holohlavy in the east, and Rodov Havranec the southeast, Sendražice in the south, Máslojedy the southwest, Hořiněves in the west and Vrchovnice and Žíželeves in the northwest.

History

Račice was one of the villages, which was created in 1222 during the reign of Ottokar I. Přemysl by the monastery Opatovice along the trade route from Prague to Náchod. The first documentary mention of the place was in 1366th After the destruction of the monastery Opatovice by the Hussites, the village came to secular owners. One of them was from 1437 the Governor of Bohemia, Aleš Vřešťovský of giant castle. 1468 followed the brothers Petr Beneš and Kdulinec of Ostromir. 1491 acquired Sigismund of Kurzbach on Vítkov Račice. Two years later bought Wilhelm II of Pernštejna the village. From 1547 Račice belonged to the captain of the Königgrätzer circle, Wilhelm Trček of Lipa. The confiscated during the Thirty Years' War in 1636 Matthias Gallas purchased possession. He was succeeded in 1674 Johann Špork.

In 1790 Emperor Joseph II acquired the place and beat him to the chamber rule Smiřice. In 1799 the first village school to teach.

After the abolition of Patrimonialherrschten was Račice nad Trotinou 1850 to a municipality in the district Koniginhof. With the purchase of the reign Smiřice by Johann von Liebieg arrived in 1863, the goods in Račice to the Reichenberger textile manufacturer.
