Geographical location

Radenthein is located in the northeast of the Gegendtal Millstaetter lake at the foot of the Nock Mountains.

History

Radenthein was first mentioned in 1177 as " Villam Ratehtim cum capella" with a priest Hartmann. From the villages Döbriach and Kaning a foundation is suspected before around 1000 years.
