Radim Bičánek

Radim Bičánek ( born January 18, 1975 in Uherské Hradiště, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Kometa Brno in the Extraliga since 2009.

Career

Radim Bičánek began his career as a hockey player in the junior section of the HC Dukla Jihlava, for the first team he. In the 1992/93 season in the first league, the highest Czechoslovak league, made ​​his debut In his rookie year he scored in 43 games and two goals were three templates. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1993 in the second round than a total of 27 players from the Ottawa Senators. After a one year break from Hockey Bičánek returned back to the Czech Republic in 2004 and played in the next five years for the HC Orli Znojemští in the Extraliga - in the last two years as team captain. After the sale of licenses of HC Orli Znojemští he joined the 2009/10 season within the league for HC Kometa Brno, for which he has since standing on the ice.

Internationally

For the Czech junior national Bičánek took part in the U18 European Junior Championships in 1993 and the Junior World Championship in 1993. In the former, he was awarded as the best defender and elected to the All- Star team.
