Rafael Iglesias (Boxer)

Rafael Iglesias ( born May 25, 1924 in Avellaneda, † 1 January 1999, San Juan ) was an Argentine boxer.

Iglesias won at the Olympic Games in London in 1948 by a final victory over the Swedes Gunnar Nilsson the gold medal in the heavyweight division.

His trip to the pro shop was very short. His only professional fight he lost on January 24, 1952 in San Francisco against the Americans Bob Dunlap by KO in the third round.
