Rai 3

Rai 3 ( until May 2010 Rai Tre ) is the third Italian television program which the public Radiotelevisione Italiana ( RAI) belongs. Broadcasting was on 15 December 1979 as at that time the rete 3 of the RAI. The spectator success was low at the beginning. The initial focus was on cultural issues, similar to the third radio program Radio 3 RAI. Under the former leadership of Angelo Guglielmi and Alessandro Curzi (PCI Member), the program in 1987 developed politically to the left, which earned him the nickname Telekabul alluding to the then communist Afghanistan. Trade union issues and reports on strikes were frequent headline in the news. During this time the program RAI 1 was regarded as a mouthpiece for the Christian Democrats ( and the Catholic Church ) in the tendency, while RAI 2 was attributable to the tendency of the PSI. In some programs, RAI 3 contentious issues came under an investigative journalism to language. In 1999 there was a restructuring of the program, the political orientation to the left weakened significantly.

Rai Tre is the only television channel Rai, offering a local reporting, which is (similar to the German federal states ) tailored to the Italian regions. Priorities today are also educational programs, sports broadcasts and talk and quiz shows. Silvio Berlusconi, titled the channel during the election campaign during a live interview as a "war machine" that has it in for him and his government, and as a " infiltrated by the left channel".

Across Europe, the program ( like the other RAI programs also ) to be received via the Hotbird satellite to a receiver unencrypted.
