Rail transport in Sierra Leone

The current rail of Sierra Leone is limited to a private network of 120 kilometers in length. Sierra Leone has since 1974 no public rail network more.

History

The national railway company Sierra Leone Government Railway ceased to operate its network, which had a track width of 762 mm, a 77 years later in 1974. It combined Freetown, Bo, Kenema and Daru. A branch line led by Makeni.

Current
