Ray McKinnon (actor)
Ray McKinnon (* November 15, 1957 in Adel, Georgia) is an American actor, screenwriter, director, producer and Oscar winner.
Life and career
Ray McKinnon was born in November 1957 in Adel in the U.S. state of Georgia and also grew up there. He joined the Valdosta State University with a degree in theater. After minor roles in television films and television series, such as In the Heat of the Night, In the meshes of death, departure of the sons and Sugarbaker 's - man must not be, he played in Betty Lou - I Do not Know and In a small town for the first time bigger roles. In 2003 he took over, along with Tommy Lee Jones and Cate Blanchett in the film drama The Missing, which is based on the novel The Last Ride by Thomas Eidson of 1995, the role of Russell J. Wittick. A year later, he was involved as a writer, director, producer and actor of Snake on the critically acclaimed Chrystal. In the same year he was in 11 of the 12 episodes of the first season of HBO's drama series Deadwood as pastor Smith on camera. In 2006 he was in two movies ( things that hang from trees and Come Early Morning - The path to me) to see as the main character. When published in 2007, Comedy Randy and the Mob, he played alongside his wife repeated the main role, as he wrote the screenplay for the film and directed it as well. 2008 and 2009 followed by four more leading roles, including the miniseries Comanche Moon and the sports drama The Blind Side - The great opportunity. In 2011, he was as Kyle in Take Shelter - A storm is coming, Lloyd seen as in Runaway Girl, as Mr. Doyle in Dolphin Tale and as Wes Warnicker in Footloose. In the fourth season of FX's Sons of Anarchy, he starred in 11 episodes of the role of Lincoln Potter before 2012 with The Last Ride his last appearance as an actor so far (May 2013) had.
He is also the creator of the television series produced by the Sundance Channel Rectify that is broadcast since April 2013. For the series, he acts as a director and screenwriter.
