Reinhold Heil

Reinhold Heil ( born May 18, 1954 in Schluchtern, Hesse ) is a German composer, sound engineer, producer, pianist, keyboard player and singer.

Life

Reinhold Heil studied in the 1970's sound engineering at the University of the Arts ( Hochschule der Künste, now called the University of the Arts, University of the Arts ) in Berlin. Subsequently, he was a musician in five different successful bands and is involved in the music and musicians of various projects. Since 1997 Reinhold Heil lives in California, since 2010 in downtown Los Angeles, where he has a studio is set up in which he is currently working.

He frequently collaborates with composer Johnny Klimek. Together they are responsible for the soundtrack of almost all Tom Tykwer movies.

In addition, he produced the first three albums and Nena responsible at Berlin's Schiller Theater for the theater music to Shakespeare production by Katharina Thalbach.
