René Bielke

René Bielke ( born April 9, 1962 in Prenzlau ) is a former German professional ice hockey goaltender and current coach. Since 2006 he has been head coach of the women's team of the OSC Berlin. His son Dominik Bielke is also a professional hockey player.

Playing career

René Bielke began his career in 1982 as a hockey player at SC Dynamo Berlin, with whom he six times GDR champion and 1988. In the 1990/91 season the goalkeeper stood by in the meantime EHC Dynamo Berlin club renamed in the hockey league between the posts. This he achieved in the following season the chances of promotion to the Bundesliga, but left the club and then played a year for the Bundesliga EC Ratingen. From 1993 to 1996 he played for Krefeld EV - 1995 Krefeld Penguins - first in the Bundesliga and from the 1994/95 season in the newly formed German Ice Hockey League. Then still known seasons from him at the Berlin SC in the 2nd League North in 1996/97, the ESC Dresden in the 2000/01 season, in which team he was in the promotion round to the Regionalliga Süd, and - after several years break - at the Polar Bears Juniors Berlin, where in the Oberliga Nord he helped out in the 2004/05 season in a game against BSchC Prussia. His Gegentorschnitt of 1.17 per game from 1982 is still the existing record in Hohenschonhausen. Likewise, the fact that he is the youngest with 19 years and 6 months goalkeeper with a victory in the history of the club at that time.

His jersey hangs in honor of him in Wellblechpalast beneath the ceiling. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2001 in Germany.

Internationally

For the GDR Bielke adopted the B World Championships in 1982 and 1990 and the A World Championships in 1983 and 1985 in part. Overall, he played a total of twelve caps for the DDR 125 international matches and for the German national team. For Germany, he participated among others in the A World Championship in 1992.

Coaching career

As a coach, he was in 2004 /05 in charge of the small school team in the polar bear Juniors Berlin. Since August 2006, he coached the highly successful women's team " Eisladies " of OSC Berlin. With this he was in the years 2007, 2009 and 2010 German champion and led the team in 2008 and 2011 runner-up. 2008, 2009 and 2011 Bielke won as a coach with the Eisladies the OSC Berlin each DEB - Pokal.
