René Vollath

René Vollath (born 20 March 1990 in Amberg ) is a German football goalkeeper.

Career

Like his father, Richard, who had denied the early 80s some games for the 1st FC Nuremberg and FC Augsburg in professional football, René Vollath began his football career at FC Linde Schwandorf as a striker. Finally, however, sat down by his enthusiasm for the position of the goalkeeper. Even as a striker in his age group, he stood at the higher age groups between the posts. Then he was discovered for the various regional intervention teams of the DFB and finally taken up in the national support group U -15. In 1998 he had moved to FC in the north of his hometown Schwandorf traditional Black box, where he received his goaltender specific training and was used as a C -teenager already in the A- youth.

With fifteen years of his career, Upper Palatinate wanted to give a professional basis and therefore moved in 2005 to the sports boarding the 1st FC Nuremberg. In addition to the academic promotion in the sports performance class at the Bertolt Brecht -Gymnasium, he was also a successful sports promotion and he already denied shortly after joining his first junior international match with the U-16 of the DFB. In 2007 he traveled with the U- 17 team to South Korea for the World Junior Championship. From the third tournament five times he stood in the gate and reached the third place team with the best placement in this age group of the DFB for a long time. Also in the other vintages of the junior national team, he came to the U -20 is used, but only sporadically.

Even during the A- youth Vollath decided to a renewed change. He went to the ambitious young field of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, where he then played one year in the league team for one year in the youth and. There he was, however, only five appearances.

Taking a step forward he made then 2010. René Vollath moved into professional football for SV Wacker Burghausen in the 3rd League, where he signed a two-year contract. Before the season, the number-one position there was still open, but from the bench on the opening day he claimed the space between the post and played 36 season games. However, he showed himself often also motivated, he cashed in the course of the season eight yellow cards and was placed in the Bavarian Toto Cup final even because of his verbal statements to the referee by the court. The following season, he remained the undisputed number one in the Upper Bavaria.

For the 2013/14 season Vollath moved to second division promoted Karlsruher SC, where he was assigned as reserve goalkeeper behind Dirk Orlishausen.
