Renegades is the fourth album by the crossover band Rage Against the Machine and contains only cover pieces.

It is currently the last studio album of the band, which, after de la Rocha had left her, with a brief break Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell to Audioslave. When the album was released on December 3, 2000, the singer had left the band already. It received mostly good reviews. Three years later, the last time being release came on the market, their live album Live at the Grand Olympic Auditorium

Cover and booklet

The cover is an homage to the Pop Art artist Robert Indiana and his work " LOVE". There are four different versions: two with red lettering and a blue-black or black - green background and two with black lettering and a red-blue or red-green background.

The booklet also includes a quote from Josh Koppel, the critical view of the role of money in today's society and can be seen with the photo of a one -dollar bill, on the "YOU ARE NOT A SLAVE " (in German: " YOU ARE NOT A SLAVE ") stands.
