The Reuberg is up to 328.2 m above sea level. NN high ridge of Lower Saxony's mountain country in the districts of Minden wood and Hildesheim in Lower Saxony ( Germany ).

Geographical location

The Reuberg is located in the western part of the line mountain country, a northern part of Lower Saxony's mountain country. It extends to about 3.5 km in length in the triangle of the towns Alfeld, Delligsen and Duingen. It lies between Brunkensen in the north, warts in the east, in the southeast Gerzen, Grünenplan something away in the east-southeast, Hohenbüchen the west and the somewhat distant Coppengrave in the northwest.

Northwest of the Reuberg extends the Duinger Mountain, north of Külf, east of the Seven Mountains, southeast of Stone Mountain, southwest of the ridge Hils and about west of Ith, which is one part of the natural park Weser mountain country Schaumburg -Hameln. The Valley of Glene, a southwestern tributary of the leash, gradually merges with the Duinger mountain.

Geology and landscape

The Reuberg is an unfolding of Thüster limestone. On its part are steep flanks, mostly hidden in the forest, limestone cliffs, such as those in the southeast of the main dome.

The Reuberg is densely covered in particular by deciduous forest.

Hiking

Several forest roads and paths lead through the Reuberg, among other things, can be found on a hiking trail over the crest of the ridge running from the Valley of Glene by warts.
