Revelation (band)

Revelation is an American doom metal band from Baltimore, Maryland, founded in 1986.

History

The band was founded in May 1986 and consisted of guitarist and vocalist John Brenner, bassist Andy Kremer and drummer Steve Branagan. After the first demo Face Reality was published in January 1987, Kremer left the band again, after burner also took over this post. This was followed with Terminal Destiny in June and Images of Darkness in November 1987, the next two demos. In February 1988, Bert Hall Jr. came as the new bassist for the group, and then the next demo The Illusion of Progress was followed in March 1989. The band was heard on the Doom Metal Compilation Dark Passages, which could reach a deal with Rise Above Records. In June 1990, the group recorded their debut album Salvation 's Answer, which appeared with the label in early 1991. Shortly after the release, she took on another demo called The Unbearable Vision, released in the summer of 1991. Then bassist Bert Hall Jr. left the band and was replaced by Josh Hart. In early 1992 the band recorded their next album Never Comes Silence, which consists of nine songs with a total of 70 minutes of playing time. The title song has a length of 18 minutes. In the summer of 1992, the Group signed a contract with Hellhound Records, what the album was released in early 1993. After the band had separated in March 1996 for a short period of Cornelius, she took in December on their next demo Frozen Masque and went in search of a label, but remained inconclusive. For the first Stoner Hands of Doom festival in August 1999, the band reunited. In addition, the group wrote new material.
