Riberalta Municipality

The municipality Riberalta is a district in the department of Beni in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location in near space

The municipality Riberalta is one of two Municipalities of the Province of Vaca Díez and located in the western part of the province. It is bordered to the west by the department of Pando, in the southwest of the province Ballivián, in the southeast of the province Yacuma, and to the east and north by the municipality of Guayaramerín.

Largest city and administrative center of the province is 64 511 Riberalta with inhabitants ( 2001) in the northwestern part of the municipality of the Río Beni.

Geography

The municipality is located in Riberalta Bolivian part of the Amazon basin in the northeast corner of the country on the border with Brazil.
