The Office Ribnitz Damgarten located in the district of Vorpommern - Rügen in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). In office Ribnitz Damgarten the three communities Ahrens -Daskow, Schlemmin and Semlow and the city Ribnitz Damgarten have joined forces to do their administrative business. The administrative headquarters is located in the city Ribnitz Damgarten. On 1 January 2005 created through the merger of the Office Ahrenshagen and the city Ribnitz Damgarten the new post Ribnitz Damgarten. On 1 January 2005 the municipality Trinwillershagen moved from office to office Ahrenshagen Barth.

The office area extends east of Recknitztales up on some areas of Ribnitz -Damgarten, the west of the Recknitz are. The Office is located east of the Hanseatic city of Rostock and west of the Hanseatic city of Stralsund. The north of the office is adjacent to the office Darß / fish country and the Office Barth. In the east and south borders the Office to the Office Recknitz - Trebeltal and the city of Marlow. To the west it borders on the district of Rostock. In the municipality there are no major lakes. The river flows through the Office Recknitz area and flows into the Ribnitzer Lake, part of the Darß- Zingster Bodden chain. The Recknitz is the historical border between Mecklenburg and Pomerania.
