Richard Schiff

Richard Schiff ( born May 27, 1955 in Bethesda, Maryland ) is an American actor. Introduced him the role of Toby Ziegler in the drama series The West Wing - The West Wing, for which he was awarded in 2000 with the television Emmy Award.

Life

Ship is the middle of three sons; his parents divorced when he was twelve years old. From 1975 studied ship at the City College of New York theater. He then began a career as a director, staged performances on Broadway, including a 1983 production starring Angela Bassett, who had just obtained their diploma. At this time he met his future wife, Sheila Kelley, whom he married in 1996.
