Robert Gossett

Robert Gossett ( born March 3, 1954 in Bronx, New York City, New York ) is an American actor.

Life and career

Robert Gossett's first real job after high school was in the production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Thereafter Gossett had appearances on Broadway. Since 1987 he has had numerous guest appearances in series, including Quantum Leap, LA Law - Star lawyers, tricks, processes, Melrose Place, Diagnosis: Murder, Beverly Hills, 90210, a heavenly family, Charmed - Magical Witches and for all Judging Amy. In addition, he was for 15 episodes in Palm Beach - Duo seen between 1992 and 1993 and 2001 in 19 episodes of the soap opera Passions. It was followed by several other appearances in series such as Dragnet, New York Cops - NYPD Blue, Crossing Jordan - pathologist with profile and Bones - Bone Slayer. Finally in 2005 he got his first major starring role in the TNT series The Closer on the side of Kyra Sedgwick. There he played the role of Commander Russell Taylor to the end of the 2012 series. He embodies This role also in the associated spin-off Major Crimes. He was also for two episodes in ER 2008 - Seeing the emergency room.

Robert Gossett is a cousin of actor Louis Gossett Jr.. He is married to theater director Michelle Gossett.
