Robert Kipkorir Kipchumba

Robert Kipkorir Kipchumba (born 24 February 1984 in Kaptul at Kapsowar, Marakwet District ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner.

In 2000 he won the junior race of the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Vilamoura, was junior world champion in the 10,000 meter race and won the Giro Media Blenio. In 2004 he won the Stramilano and focused from now on the road running.

In 2006 he was second in each of Rotterdam Half Marathon and the road race World Championships in Debrecen than 20 km. The following year he won the Lisbon Half Marathon. In the road race world championships in 2007 in Udine, he finished 15th place and picked as last year with the Kenyan team gold in the team competition.

In 2009 he was eighth in the Rotterdam Marathon and seventh at the Rotterdam Half Marathon in 2010 and fifth at the CPC Loop Den Haag.

In 2011 he presented the Xiamen marathon with 2:08:07 h a course record.

Robert Kipkorir Kipchumba is 1.73 m tall, weighs 53 kg and is a member of the Kenyan Army. He has been married since 2000 and has two children. He lives on a farm in Trans Nzoia District, and trained at the nearby Kapcherop.
