Rodrigo Moreno Machado or short only Rodrigo ( born March 6, 1991, Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian- Spanish footballer. Currently, the striker is in the Portuguese first division club Benfica Lisbon under contract.

Rodrigo, who was born as the son of Brazilian soccer players Adalberto Machado in Rio de Janeiro, moved at the age of twelve years in the Spanish town of Vigo. There he played in the youth of Nigrán CF before he was taken in the summer of 2004 in the junior division Celta Vigo. After good performances, he caught the attention of Real Madrid on himself, of which he was finally committed in 2009. First planned for the youth team, Rodrigo already earned soon inserts in the C men's team of the club. Soon after, he ran the first time for Real Madrid Castilla and arrived there about first Torerfolgen. Its features and performance did not go unnoticed to other European teams and so moved Rodrigo on 31 July 2010 after Portugal to Benfica. Real kept upright the right of first refusal on the player for the next two years. In Lisbon, the striker signed a five-year contract, but was borrowed for the first season to the English first division club Bolton Wanderers.

National

2010 Rodrigo was in the squad of the Spanish U-19 at the European Football Championship in France. The team pushed on to the finals of the competition, where you then but lost 1-2 against France. Throughout the tournament the attackers came on two hits. He brought in the final his team a 1-0 lead, before the French could strike back. A year later, he took part in the U- 20 World Cup in Colombia with Spain. His team failed in the quarter-finals on penalties to Brazil, he brought it in four games to three goals. In summer 2012 he took part with the Spanish selection in the Olympic Games in London, his team but surprisingly different from in the first round. In June 2013 Rodrigo won the U-21 European Championship with the Iberians.
