Reformed Church pipe

Tube is a village in the Swiss canton of Aargau. It lies between the rivers Aare and Suhre. By end-2009 tube was an independent municipality in the district of Aarau. Since the merger with Aarau Rohr is a district of the cantonal capital.

Geography

The terrain is completely flat and includes the vast plain to the south of the Aare. The approximately two-kilometer long road village is about a mile from the river. The entire river extends along a flood control dam. Between the river and the overbuilt zone, the site of numerous small streams running through it, the former side arms of the once highly meandering Aare. In Rohrer Schachen, a wooded area in the northwest, the dam will be set back to a few hundred meters in length, to give rise to the former floodplain landscape. The Suhre forms the border to Aarau and empties into the River Aare. The settlement area is conjoined with that of Aarau to Buchs, there is a small gap.

The area of ​​the former municipality was 340 hectares, of which 134 hectares were forested and built over 78 hectares. The highest point was 380 meters in Suretwald, the deepest place on 358 meters on the banks of the Aare.

Neighboring communities were beaver stone in the north, the east Rupperswil, Buchs in the south, Aarau in the west and Kuettigen in the northwest.

History

Several findings suggest that the area was sparsely populated before around 3000 years ago during the Bronze Age. During Roman times, the Roman road led from Vindonissa after Aventicum by tube; in Suretwald east of the village a short, 4-7 m wide section has been preserved.

The first mention of Rore place in the year 1027. The village name comes from the Old High German ze Rore what " the reed " means and the location of the village marks the edge of a wetland. Ulrich the Rich, Count of Lenzburg, gave the village in 1036 the pin Beromunster. From 1173 tube was in the territory of the Counts of Kyburg. After these had died out, the Habsburgs, the new rulers were in 1264.

1415 conquered the Swiss Canton Aargau. Tube after becoming the subject territory of Berne, Berne's so called Aargau; administratively it was assigned to the Office of Lenzburg. 1528 resulted in the Bernese the Reformation. In March 1798, the French marched into Switzerland, the disempowered " Gracious gentlemen " of Bern and proclaimed the Helvetic Republic. Pipe has since been to the canton of Aargau. Until the early 20th century pipe was an agricultural community. With the increasing importance of Aarau as a business location to tube converted to residential. Within a hundred years the population has grown almost fivefold. In July 2005, formal negotiations for the incorporation of pipe began in the town of Aarau. In the referendum on 24 February 2008, the municipality agreed to a merger, which could therefore be implemented by 1 January 2010.

At the 2000 census, 49.4 % were reformed. 28.0 % Roman Catholic, 4.8 % Muslim and 1.5% Christian Orthodox; 1.6% belonged to other faiths. 87.9 % identified German as their main language, 3.4 % speak Italian, Serbo-Croatian 2.4%, 0.8 % French, 0.6% each English and Spanish.

Economy

Traffic

Pipe is located on the main road between 5 Aarau and Brugg and is also connected by a four-lane highway to the port Aarau- Ost exit of the A1 motorway, which is located at Hunzenschwil. The New Staffeleggstrasse leads from the western edge of the village from a new Aarebrücke and (partly underground) east of Kuettigen over to Staffelegg- pass road, while the center of Aarau and Kuettigen be considerably relieved of through traffic. The district has four kindergartens and two school houses in which the primary school, secondary school and secondary school are taught. The school district can be visited in the book. The nearest district school (high school ) is located in Aarau.
