Geography

Röhrmoos located about 25 km northwest of Munich.

History

Event history of selected districts

Röhrmoos

The original name Roraga mussea means something like moss marsh with reeds. Röhrmoos belonged to Rentamt Munich and the Dachau court of the Electorate of Bavaria. Created in 1818 the current municipality. On July 7, 1889, arrived at the station of Röhrmoos on the Munich - Ingolstadt to a serious railway accident. Here, at an unscheduled crossing became one of passing express train on a railway siding and came across a group of parked wagons. 10 people were killed in the collision and there were nine serious injuries and several minor injuries. When parking the wagon, the switch had not been reset.

Mariabrunn

From 1662 Mariabrunn is an important place of pilgrimage in the diocese of Freising. In July of 1662 sought the Mochinger Stephan Bauer Schlairboeck, who worked in the forest at today Mariabrunn to drink a small spring on to it. Shortly afterwards, he told of a miraculous cure of his chronic painful break and brought in gratitude at the source of a Marian image. This healing talks soon in the whole area around and there are many suffering to the source, in the hope of being healthy by drinking the water. Also, the authorities became aware of the healing of Mariabrunn. Elector Ferdinand Maria had a chapel and a bathhouse built. From 1846 onwards it is reported, the property will not exceed the bathroom, but only operated as Ökonomiegut. From 1863 Mariabrunn was purchased and managed by the "Doctor farmer " Amalie High nests. With a variety of teas, herbs, baths and fasting, it achieved many cures. In the former guest books nobles and wealthy merchants from all over Europe are listed. Today, at the same place, there is a beer garden.

Population Development

On the territory of the commune were 1970 4.400, 1987, 5017 and 2000 counted 6,029 residents a year.

Mayor Hans Lingl (CDU ). He was the successor of Joseph Westermayr (CDU ) in 2002.

The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of € 2,789,000 in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted € 347,000.

Twinning

Since 1991, there is a partnership of the municipality Röhrmoos with the French community Taradeau at Le Luc in Provence. An anniversary is heralded for 2011, which intend to commemorate both communities worthy and proper. Taradeau with about 1700 inhabitants, is located in the interior of the Var area not far from the Côte d' Azur in Nice and Toulon, and is known for its wines, olives, cheese and nougat.

In order to continue to ensure the success of the partnership, the council of Röhrmoos has appointed in the spring of 2009, Harald Neumann from beaver creek to volunteer partnership coordinator.

In Taradeau there is a " Rue de Röhrmoos " and a Bavarian maypole, in Röhrmoos a " Taradeauer road " and a French original olive tree. In a regular rhythm, the French hold in Röhrmoos a Provencal and Röhrmooser in Taradeau a Bavarian market - for lovers of typical local products an Eldorado. Beer, sausage and bread from Bavaria as well as wines, olives and cheese from Provence.

The Mayor Gilbert Galliano from Taradeau and Hans Lingl from Röhrmoos and partnership coordinator for the two municipalities Albert David and Harald Neumann are willing to further strengthen the partnership within the meaning of friendship between Germany and France, and for the benefit of Taradeau and Röhrmoos and expand.

On 1 May 2009, the maypole was professionally laid down Bavarian, to become the cheers of the people erected at the common anniversary celebration in 2011 again when visiting citizens from Röhrmoos in Taradeau.

Fishermen's Church in Sigmertshausen

For Marian shrine Sigmertshausen was 1719, when the Guardian boy Thomas Hoff Würth found a statue of Mary and soon after einstellten prayers. 1755, the then Hofmarksherr Ruffini build a new church, St. Vitalis is dedicated. Built it has the famous church and monastery architect Johann Michael Fischer.

Beer garden in Mariabrunn

The beer garden Mariabrunn counts due to its idyllic location and the traditional system with old chestnut for summer cooling the beer cellar of the former brewery of the most beautiful in the Munich region. Economy, agriculture and forestry

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the field of Agriculture and Forestry 16, 217 in manufacturing and in trade and transport 46 persons work at the workplace. Traffic

  • Anni Biechl, ( born March 17, 1940 in Großinzemoos ), track and field athlete who won the silver medal in Rome in the 4 x 100 -meter relay at the 1960 Olympic Games.
