Rok Tičar

Rok Tičar (* 3 May 1989 in Jesenice, SR Slovenia) is a Slovenian ice hockey player who is since May 2012 at the Cologne Sharks of the German Ice Hockey League contract.

Career

Rok Tičar began his career in the youth teams of the Slovenian clubs HK Jesenice and grew to become one of the most promising talents of his country, before he sought the way to foreign countries in 2007. When Swedish Timrå IK he ran on in the youth team and was also for five games in the first team in the Elitserien on the ice, where he recorded an assist. 2009 brought him his club back to Slovenia. After a good 2009/ 10 in the Austrian Hockey League the ideal strike partner were found with Robert Sabolić and Ziga Jeglič. The relatively recent formation ( neither player was older than 22 years early in the season ) proved during the season 2010/11 to be the mainstay of the club, Tičar finished second in the scorers standings of the basic passage to third place. Parallel to the game operation in Austria, played the national team with his team in the Slovenian Hockey League and in 2010 and 2011 Slovenian champion with Jesenice. In May 2011, the striker has been committed by the Krefeld Penguins of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. After his first season in the DEL, in which he scored 20 points scorer, moved the links Sagittarius league internally to the Cologne Sharks where he signed a one year contract.

Internationally

For Slovenia Tičar took at junior level at the U18 Junior B World Championships in 2006, 2007 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2008 and 2009 in part. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the B World Championships in 2009 and 2010 and the A- World Cup 2011.
