Romain Dumas

Romain Dumas ( born December 14, 1977 in Alès ) is a French racing driver.

Dumas started in 1992 with the karting before moving in 1996 to Formula racing and in the French Formula Renault was launched. In 1998 he participated in the French Formula 3 Championship.

He tested for the team Oreca a Formula 3000 race cars in 1999 and a Renault F1 in 2002. 2004 he tested for the Champ Car team Conquest Racing. He drove a race in any of these Formula series.

In 2001 and 2002 he raced in the Formula 3000 Euro Series.

Since 2001, he competed in every 24 - hour race at Le Mans, together with Timo Bernhard and Mike Rockenfeller where he was able to win the overall victory in the Audi R15 TDI 2010. In 2004, he joined the American Le Mans Series and drove for Alex Job Racing in the GT2 category. From 2006 he starts for Penske Racing in a Porsche RS Spyder and 2007 she won the drivers' championship in the LMP2 class, together with Timo Bernhard.

In the years 2007, 2008 and 2009, he won the 24 -hour race at the Nürburgring together with Timo Bernhard, Marc Lieb and Marcel Tiemann for the Manthey Racing team.
