History

The diocese Dédougou was on 14 April 2000 as a result of the division of the Diocese of Nouna - Dédougou and the Archdiocese of Ouagadougou was a suffragan. On 5 December 2000 the diocese was Dédougou the Archdiocese of Bobo-Dioulasso is a suffragan.
