Roman Catholic Diocese of Zielona Góra-Gorzów

The Diocese of Zielona Góra - Gorzów (Latin: Dioecesis Viridimontanensis - Gorzoviensis, poln: Diecezja zielonogórsko - Gorzowska ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in the west of Poland, which encloses the area of ​​the Lubusz Voivodeship and parts of adjacent provinces. History

The diocese is a young diocese, the diocese as Gorzów ( German Landsberg adWarthe ) on 28 June 1972 by Pope Paul VI. was built by the Apostolic Constitution Episcoporum Poloniae coetus from diocesan territories that belonged up to that de jure the Diocese of Berlin and the Prelature Schneidemühl, since September 1945 but de facto administrators had been subordinate.
