Roman Catholic Territorial Prelature of Santo Cristo de Esquípulas

The Santo Cristo de Esquipulas Territorialprälatur (Latin: Praelatura territorialis Sanctissimi Domini Nostri Jesus Christ de Esquipulas ) is located in Guatemala Roman Catholic Territorialprälatur based in Esquipulas. It includes the municipality in the Guatemalan department of Chiquimula Esquipulas.

History

Pope Pius XII. she founded on 21 November 1957 with the Apostolic Constitution Cum Christ of annexations of the Diocese of Zacapa. Originally she shared with the Archdiocese of Guatemala aeque principaliter the bishop.
