Roskilde Cathedral was founded in 1995 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Started in 1170 in the Romanesque style and rebuilt in the Gothic style since 1200, he is the last resting place of 20 Danish kings and 17 queens. For this reason, the buildings were also added several royal mausoleums, which would change the shape of the building over time. The two western towers date from the 14th century. Among the most valuable pieces of the rich appointments include the gilded altarpiece Antwerp (around 1550-1560 ) and the ornately carved choir stalls ( 1420 ).
