Geographical location

Rot am See is located north of Crailsheim in the eastern part of the Hohenlohe plain and flows through a portion of the Jagst inflow Brettach.

Neighboring communities

History

In 1139 Red was first mentioned. In the period 1333-1345 was dammed with the construction of a dam near the Seemühle Seebach to a lake. This reservoir owed ​​the town its distinctive name. The lake was drained in 1757 but again, the name stuck.

Beimbach
