Sachiko Morisawa

Sachiko Morisawa (Japanese森 沢 幸 子, Sachiko Morisawa; * around 1945 ) is a former Japanese table tennis player. It was 1967 world champion in singles, doubles and team competition.

At their first participation in a World Cup 1967 in Stockholm, did not compete in China, Sachiko Morisawa won first with the Japanese women's team gold. Then she became world champion in singles by winning the final against Naoko Fukazu (Japan). Together with Saeko Hirota (Japan) she took another title in doubles. Through these successes she succeeded in the ITTF World Ranking of the jump from eighth to the top.

At the next World Cup in Munich in 1969 she successfully defended a title. With the team they finished third in double separated them in the quarterfinals of. In the individual it was defeated in the first round of outsider Pauline Piddock, which was only number five in her native England.

At the Asian Championships ( Asian Championship TTFA ), she won the 1967 doubles competition with Saeko Hirota and also the team's struggles. A year later she came in doubles (with Toshiko Kowada ) and also with the team to the final.
