Sankt Nikolai im Sölktal is a municipality with 486 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Styria ( Judicial District Schladming ).

Geography

Sankt Nikolai im Sölktal is the Expositur Groebming in Liezen district in the Austrian state of Styria. The municipality is located in the Natural Park Sölktäler.

There are no other cadastral except Sankt Nikolai im Sölktal. Districts are Mössna and diligence.

History

The abolition of the manorial system was carried out in 1848., The local church as an autonomous body was established in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938 the congregation to Reichsgau Styria came from 1945 to 1955 it was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria. 1959 a driveway on Ennstalerseite of Kaltenbach and Murtalerseite of the Kreutzer hut was built to Sölkpasshöhe.

Coat of arms

The award of the municipality coat of arms came into effect on 1 April 2000. Coat Description: A black eagle in gold, each with four red adjoining carriage wheels on the sides of the shield.
