Sasaguri (Fukuoka)
Sasaguri (Japanese筱 栗 町; -machi ) is a town in the district Kasuya in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.
The city has 31 617 inhabitants Sasaguri (as of 1 November 2009). The area is 38.90 km ² and the population density is about 813 persons per km ².
Sasaguri pilgrimage
In reference to a famous Shikoku pilgrimage there is the " 88 places of Shikoku in Sasaguri " (Japanese筱 栗 四 国 八 十八 箇 所, Sasaguri Shikoku hachijū hakkasho ), a " miniature pilgrimage " to the worship of Kūkai ( 774-835 ), founder of the Shingon Buddhist school.
