The SC Wiedenbrück 2000 ( Complete name: Sport-Club Wiedenbrück 2000 eV ) is a sports club from the East Westphalian city Rheda- Wiedenbrück in Gütersloh. The club was founded in 2000 and has 1,222 members. The club colors are black and blue.

History

The master clubs

The SC Wiedenbrück 2000 was established in 2000 by the merger of two parent clubs DJK Eintracht Wiedenbrück and SV Westfalia Wiedenbrück. Both clubs had previously played only at the local level. The Westfalia played in the 1934/35 season in the then second-class district League East Westphalia. In 1955, the Westfalia promotion to the then fourth-rate division, but failed to qualify for the introduced one year later, fifth division Westphalia.
