Schönleinstraße (Berlin U-Bahn)

The metro station is a station Schönleinstraße line U8 of the Berlin U- Bahn in the district of Kreuzberg Kottbusser Damm corner Rheumatica and Bürknerstraße. It was opened on 17 July 1927, bears in station list of the BVG, the name of ST. It was built, like many other stations in Berlin, by Alfred Grenander. From the opening until 12 February 1928, the station was the northern terminus of that line D.

The eponymous street is named after Johann Lukas Schönlein, the personal physician to King Frederick William IV from 1951 to 1992 was Kottbusser Damm the train station.

Due to the good structural condition of not fully accessible station is virtually unchanged since its opening. The ceramic tiles on the middle platform are decorated in shades of gray - green and brown - pink, in the two vestibules different tiles ( yellow to green) were used.

In the Tatort episode against the head, the station served as the venue for the fatal assault of two young people on a passerby.

At the subway station, there is no direct transit traffic to other lines of the Berlin transport.
