Søgne is a commune in the province of Vest- Agder in Norway. It comprises several coastal settlements; Capital is the port Høllen.

Søgne lies to the west of the city of Kristiansand in the archipelago of southern Norway. Main town is the harbor town Høllen. Your name of the municipality derives from the River Sygna (also Søgneelva ).

The place with the most hours of sunshine throughout Norway Søgne is a popular tourist destination, especially in summer. At around 1,200 islands and islets of the community, there are numerous holiday homes.

The offshore island Helgøya was expanded by the German occupying forces after 1942 to the fortress. The equipped with heavy artillery, machine guns and mortars Fort secured the harbor of Kristiansand and is often referred to as the " Norwegian Gibraltar " means.
